Gary Giving Back

Nineteen years ago I started my Gary Potts Crossroads Foundation. This foundation is focused on helping at risk boys in the inner city that are much less fortunate than many that live in their areas. The monies that are donated go to providing shoes, clothing and other necessities like possible school supplies, or even a bus pass. Each year we have approximately 20 kids that we identify to help.

All of the kids who receive these gifts through my foundation come from low income homes, have single moms, grandparents or are placed with various foster families throughout Portland. There is no stability in these kids’ lives and available finances from family members are very limited.

100% of all proceeds go directly to provide the kids shoes, clothing, school supplies, hygiene supplies and we have been able to send many to various sports camps, camping at the beach and some experienced their first time roasting s’mores. It is extremely rewarding to see the smiles on the children’s faces when they receive what might be their only gift of the season, especially when it’s shoes and clothes.
